Home quarantine ban in Delhi, where will the government keep 10,490 patients of Corona ..?

New delhi date. Saturday, June 20, 2020

Delhi Deputy Governor Anil Baijal has ordered that all patients with corona have to undergo five days of mandatory government quarantine. According to the new order, if any person's report is positive, he will be sent to the mandatory institutional quarantine for five days. This means that even if a patient does not show symptoms of corona, he or she must remain in the institutional quarantine.

In the past, when a person's corona report was positive but did not show any symptoms of corona, it was sent to home isolation, but this is no longer the case. Looking at the daily statistics, it seems that the pace of Koro transition in Delhi has increased. In the last 24 hours, 3,137 new cases of corona virus have been detected in Delhi. At the same time, the number of corona patients in Delhi has crossed 53,116. However, it is also a good thing that corona patients are continuing to recover in Delhi and so far 23,569 patients have recovered.

There are currently 27,512 active cases of corona in Delhi and 10,490 people are in home quarantine. It is a question of what will happen to the 10,490 people living in the Home Quarantine following the Deputy Governor's order in these circumstances. Will they be kept in current home isolation or will they be sent to mandatory institutional quarantine as ordered? Does the Delhi government have enough space to keep these people in government quarantine?

The Delhi government said in pursuance of the deputy governor's order, "Many people with normal symptoms due to home isolation are coming out and getting themselves examined as they are not being forcibly taken to hospitals or quarantine centers." But the central government today called for a ban on home isolation. People will be discouraged by his order. Patients with asymptomatic and mild symptoms of corona will avoid examination and will not be quarantined so that the resulting infection will spread further.

Apart from that, the number of patients in Delhi is already very high and thousands of quarantine rooms will have to be set up in addition to the 80,000-bed plan for severely infected patients by July amid current preparations. It is a question of where the medical staff will come to oversee this quarantine center when there is already a severe shortage of doctors and nurses to treat critically ill patients.

The full manpower of the Delhi government is already at work and now thousands of asymptomatic people will need to build houses in the form of large quarantine centers. Thousands of beds are urgently needed at the quarantine center following the order as thousands of patients are currently receiving treatment at home.

According to the Delhi government, the ICMR guidelines are still applicable to the rest of India, so why are there different criteria for Delhi? Delhi is fully with the central government in the collective fight against Koro but it should be reconsidered as such arbitrary decisions will cause serious damage to Delhi.
