China is now urging an end to the dispute through negotiations after a fraudulent attack on an Indian convoy at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). A Chinese military spokesman said the Indian side should "strictly stop" its frontline troops and return to the right path through negotiations and discussions.

Zhang Shuili, a spokesman for the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Western Theater Command, leveled a number of allegations against India over Monday night's violent clashes between Chinese troops and Indian troops. Zhang Shuili claimed that Indian Army personnel had deliberately launched a provocative attack on the LAC through illegal activities.

According to China's official statement, "Indian troops violated the promise and once again crossed the LAC through illegal activities." Deliberately provoked and attacked the Chinese army. Violent clashes erupted on both sides in which several people were injured.

At the same time, the People's Liberation Army warned that the Indian side should strictly restrain its frontline troops, stop all violations and provocative activities immediately and work hand in hand with China to get on the right track through negotiations and discussions to resolve differences.

It may be mentioned that there has been a heavy fire at LAC for the last one and a half months and on Monday night there was a violent clash between the armies of the two countries. There was no firing from either side during the clashes but Chinese troops deceitfully killed 20 Indian soldiers in the Galvan Valley. According to a report, 43 Chinese soldiers were injured in the clashes, many of whom were killed and some wounded, but China has not commented.
