Electronic hardware theft from India's indigenous aircraft carrier, two arrested

The NIA has arrested two persons for stealing important electronic devices of an aircraft carrier, the first indigenous aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy being built at a shipyard in Kochi.

The two men were arrested on Wednesday from Bihar and Rajasthan. In 2019, they stole equipment from the aircraft carrier.

The investigation into the sensitive case was launched by the NIA in September last year. Fingerprints of more than 5,000 people were checked for the investigation.

Sumit Kumar Singh of Bihar and Daya Ram of Rajasthan were arrested in a raid by the NIA on Wednesday.
