Cowards were terrorists, my father was shot in the back: Kashmir Sarpanch's daughter's outrage

The wounds inflicted on Kashmiri Pandits have resurfaced after the assassination of Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita by terrorists in Anantnag, Kashmir.

"My father was a patriot. The people who shot him in the back are cowards," said Sheen, the daughter of Sarpanch Ajay Pandita. Don't be afraid. I will go back to Kashmir. He sought security for himself after becoming sarpanch and the government failed.

"If my father's death is not avenged, it will have the opposite effect on the country. My father loved the country. He was killed because he was a Kashmiri Pandit," Sheen said.

Ajay Pandita was shot dead by terrorists near his house on June 8.
