Corona: In one week, 50,000 cases increased, India ranked seventh in the world

On Sunday, India reached the seventh position in the world in the case of corona virus. It took India just a week to reach the seventh position out of 10. Meanwhile, the number of Kovid-19 cases in the country has increased by about 50,000.

On May 25, India became the tenth country in the world to be hit by the Corona epidemic. At that time, the number of positive cases of corona in India was 1.38 lakh. On Sunday, the figure crossed 1.82 lakh. However, India is far from the US in terms of Corona transition.

More than 1.8 million cases of coronavirus have been reported in the United States. In second place is Brazil with five million cases. Russia ranks third with three million cases of infected corona. In a radio program Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that despite being a populous country, India, like many other countries, has not been severely affected by the Corona virus epidemic.

He said the government is now opening up the economy after implementing a four-phase lockdown but people need to be vigilant. The recovery rate of patients in India has also increased. The rate was 42 per cent last week, which has now risen to 47 per cent.

The Union Health Ministry says the virus has not spread in India as much as it has in many other countries. Meanwhile, 8,380 new cases were registered in India on Saturday. Which was the highest number of cases reported so far. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases in the country is 89,995 while 86,983 patients have recovered.
