Jaipur, 19 June 2020, Friday

The Jaipur Children's Hospital prepared a report covering 20 cities across the country. According to the study, children's addiction to electronics gadgets has tripled during lockouts. 90% of children can't stay away from electronics gadgets even for half an hour. This addiction is very dangerous for the health of children.

The study, which covered children in 20 cities across the country, found that parents held mobile-commuters in their hands to keep them at home. This has led to children becoming addicted to electronics gadgets - smartphones, laptops, computers, video games, etc. during the lockdown period.

Children have been using three times more gadgets during this period. Now the average child spends five hours a day behind electronics gadgets, which is likely to be very dangerous for their health in the long run.

Researchers at JK Lone Children's Hospital in Jaipur found that 4 per cent of the children in the sample were addicted to electronics devices. Eighty per cent of them were children who could not live without mobile phones or smart gadgets for even half an hour. 9% of children had difficulty sleeping at night. Or the time they went to bed before the lockdown made a big difference. Many children woke up late at night and then woke up late in the day.

The survey was conducted online targeting 20 cities.

Information was collected on how much time children spend behind electronics devices. Dr Ashok Gupta, who led the study, said the trend was growing worldwide. Don't be surprised if it proves to be dangerous for the mental state of children. Addiction to electronics devices can have a serious effect on children's creativity as well as their temperament. If children spend five hours a day behind a smart device, they may find it difficult to concentrate on their studies.
