Kathmandu, Ta. Thursday 11 June 2020

The house of MP Sarita Giri, who was protesting against the controversial constitutional amendment of the Nepal government, has been attacked by some strangers. The attackers have warned them to leave the country as they sabotage.

According to sources, the MP had informed the police in this regard but no one came to his aid. His party has also distanced itself from him. Sarita Giri tweeted about the attack.

Nepal is researching the constitution to legalize the disputed map. Janata Samajwadi Party MP Sarita is not in favor of this. He has demanded the rejection of the proposal. The party is also angry with him for the same reason. MPs have 72 hours to decide their position on a constitutional amendment proposal in Nepal's parliament. MP Sarita Giri says the amendment proposal should be rejected as the Nepal government does not have enough evidence.

The attack on MP Sarita's house is being criticized on social media. Human rights activist Randhir Chaudhary tweeted: What a plight we have reached. Even MPs today are not safe in their own homes. Some people attacked Sarita Giri's house. Was sabotaged.

The attackers also used catastrophic words against him. We should condemn them. I suspect that the government may be involved. Randhir also shared a screenshot of Sarita's tweet. In which he wrote in Nepali that 40-50 people attacked his house and broke the main gate.
