Apart from Pakistan and China, there are also daily border clashes with Nepal. In the midst of this situation, there are reports that Nepal has stopped the construction of a dam and created a flood situation in Bihar. The Government of Nepal has stopped the construction of a dam on the Lal Bakayya River in the Dhaka subdivision of East Champaran. As a result, a flood situation has arisen in Bihar.

Bihar Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Zai said that Nepal was not allowing the repair work to be done for the Gandak Dam. While Lalbakeya river is part of the mainland. Apart from this, some other structures in Nepal have also stopped the repairs.

This is the first time we people are facing this kind of situation. We also can't deliver the materials needed for repairs. If our engineers do not have the materials to repair the dam, it will have a direct effect on the repair of the dam.

The Bihar government minister further said that Gandak Barrage has 36 gates. 18 of which are in Nepal. In India, the 17th gate has already been repaired. While the dams built from 18 to 36 parts of Nepal could not be repaired.

Nepal is not going to take the necessary material for the repair of this dam. As a result, there are fears of major floods in Bihar at any time and at present there is also heavy rainfall in Nepal, which is feared to make the situation worse in the state coming towards Bihar. The state government has also reportedly sought help from the central government in the matter.
