Ah wonder! Iran has issued an arrest warrant for President Trump, seeking help from the agency

Tehran, Monday 29 June 2020

Iran has sought the help of Interpol in issuing warrants for the arrest of US President Donald Trump and dozens of others in connection with the death of a top general killed in a drone strike in Baghdad.

Ali al-Qassimeh, a Tehran prosecutor, said Monday that the January 3 drone strike involved 30 people from Iran in addition to President Trump. He is accused of murder and spreading terror.

According to a report by the quasi-government news agency ISNA, local prosecutor Ali Alkasimehr said Trump and more than 30 others accused by Iran of involvement in the January 3 airstrikes in Baghdad.

In which General Qasim Soleimani was assassinated. Trump and 30 others have also been charged with murder and terrorism.

Al-Qaeda did not identify anyone but Trump but insisted that Iran would take action against Trump even after he left the presidency. Interpol, based in Lyon, France, declined to comment at this time.

Alcasimer also said that Iran requested a Red Corner Notice for Trump and others. It represents the highest level of arrest request issued by Interpol.

It is unlikely that Interpol will accept Iran's request because, according to its guidelines, it will not be able to interfere in matters of "political nature".

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has also expressed his determination to avenge the death of General Suleimani. He said Suleimani's death had doubled opposition to the United States and Israel.
