A corps commander level meeting between India and China will be held tomorrow to discuss the issue

Amid ongoing tensions between India and China in the Galvan Valley in eastern Ladakh, a corps commander level meeting between the two countries will begin at 10.30 am on Tuesday. The meeting will be chaired by Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, Commander of the 14th Corps of the Indian Army, while Major General Liu Lin, Commander of China's South Xinjiang Military, will be on the other side.

The meeting will once again focus on maintaining status, returning to China at its position in Pangog Soom and discussing Chumar, Demchok, Depsang, Galwan, Gogra, Dolat Bed Oldi. There will be a total of 12 members from the Indian Army.

For the third time, top military level delegations from India and China will meet. Earlier, the corps commander level meeting was held on June 6 and June 22. At a Lieutenant General level meeting between India and China in Moldo last Monday, Indian officials expressed outrage at the violent speed in Galvan, China.

Apart from this, India had asked the meeting to maintain the status quo on Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh. India said China would bring the status of its troops in Ladakh to the status quo of April.

In the last one week, the Indian Army has sent thousands more troops to the LAC in response to China's moves. The Indian Air Force has deployed Apache fighter helicopters along with Sukhoi 30 MKI, Jaguar, Mirage 2000 fighter planes at many of its key locations, including Srinagar and Leh, since the clashes and is being practiced daily.
