6-year-old Masoom dies after consuming explosives

A strange phenomenon has happened in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu. In Alagarai village in Trichy district, a 6-year-old boy mistakenly ate a home-made explosive. The child has died from eating it.

Only three people from the village had brought home-made explosives to fish. He was working as a fisherman in Kaveri river. The hunters brought 2 gelatin explosives, which were not used in the hunt. The trio arrived at their friend's house with the explosives.

The child was just playing there. It is alleged that the child put the explosive in his mouth knowing it was something to eat. As soon as it was put in the mouth, an explosive blast took place which caused serious injury to the child.

The baby died before he could be taken to hospital for treatment. Instead of reporting the matter to the authorities, the child's father and his friends also conducted the funeral of the child for fear of police action.

Police have arrested 3 people in the incident and are conducting an investigation. Police are looking for a reason to make a desi bomb.
