Why Nepal is raising left against India, find out the whole controversy that started in 1816

New Delhi, May 20, 2020, Wednesday

Not only does India have a border dispute with China and Pakistan, but now Nepal, which has friendly relations with India, is also at odds.

In the last one week, the Indian protests in Nepal have been intensifying and the reason behind this is the areas named Lipiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani on the border of India and Nepal. After India built a new road to Mansarovar in the area, Nepal has started showing its eyes to India.

Another controversy was created yesterday when Nepal turned left against India and included these areas in its new map.

The present dispute between India and Nepal began in 1815. At that time, the British ruled India. After the defeat of the King of Nepal, many areas were taken over by the British rulers, including Sikkim, Nainital, Darjeeling, Lipulekh, Kalapani.

The British later ceded some of it back to Nepal. Nepal sided with the British during the War of Independence of 1857. Due to which the Terai area was also returned to Nepal by the British.

The people living in the lowlands were of Indian origin but the British did not think about it.

On the other hand, the Gorkha community of Nepal has not been able to forget the defeat of the battle of 1816, which is being taken advantage of by the political parties there.

Tensions between India and Nepal erupted in 2015 because Nepal changed its constitution at the time, prompting India to cut off supplies to Nepal. The rift between the two countries has not abated.

India was not happy with the new constitution of Nepal. It is alleged by Bhabharat that the constitution has done injustice to the Madhesi community. The roots of the Madhesi community are linked to UP and Bihar.

According to an Indian official, Madhesis are discriminated against in Nepal and that is a fact. Government jobs are held by the hill communities in Nepal. They are hated by the Madhesis. The hill people think that the Madhesis are loyal to India, not to Nepal. They are teased in Nepal as dhoti.

Attacks are also rife with left-wing parties in Nepal. The current Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma, is a leftist and is the first PM to become PM after the new constitution of Nepal. KP Sharma is anti-India. Even after the blockade imposed by India in 2015, he refused to change the constitution.

On the contrary, they were approaching China to retaliate against India. As part of the deal between Nepal and China, China allowed Nepal to use its port to order essential goods.

Now China is laying railway lines in Nepal, investing heavily so that Chinese goods can be delivered to Nepal.

Recently, Indian Army Chief General Mukund Narwane hinted that China may be behind Nepal's objection to the Lipulekh area. Narwane said that at first Nepal had no problem but now it was raising the issue at the behest of someone. There is a possibility.
