Demonstrations in the United States against the death of George Floyd, a black citizen, and the killing of other black people by police have spread from New York to Tulsa and Los Angeles. News of violent clashes between protesters and police is coming from about 30 cities. Demonstrations in Minneapolis following Floyd's death have disrupted public life in many parts of the city, with reports of building fires and shoplifting.

Floyd died in police custody last Monday, and protests erupted after a video of a police officer strangling him for eight minutes went viral. He was arrested on suspicion of using a fake bill from a Black Floyd shop. Concerns are rife among health experts as large numbers of people gather during the demonstration without masks and without adhering to social distance.

On the one hand, the death toll from the corona in the United States has dropped and efforts to revive the economy have increased the risk of a re-epidemic. In Washington, D.C., a large number of people demonstrated outside the White House. Peaceful demonstrations in Philadelphia escalated and at least 13 officers were injured while at least four police vehicles were blown up.

Trump wrote in a tweet on Saturday that if the National Guard had been used two days ago, the damage would not have been so great. The National Guard has done a good job. Curfews were imposed overnight in more than 12 major cities across the country and people were told to stay away from cities such as Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle, Minneapolis and more. More than 1,400 protesters from 17 cities have been arrested since Thursday.
