Vande Bharat Mission: From today, Indians trapped abroad will be brought back

Vande Bharat Mission will start from today to bring Indians trapped abroad. Air India will repatriate 1 lakh 93 thousand stranded citizens in 12 countries. Indians will be brought back from America from May 9. For this, commercial flight service will be started between several cities in America and some cities in India.

According to information provided by the Indian Embassy in Washington, in the first phase, Air India will launch non-scheduled commercial flights to India from several US cities from May 9 to 15. Incoming passengers will have to pay a fare. The Government of India will not pay their rent. He will also undergo a medical checkup upon arrival.

Indians will come from Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, 175 Indians will reach Kochi from Abu Dhabi today. There will also be a flight from Dubai to Kozhikode, which will also carry 175 Indians. It is being said that the fare for Indians coming from the Gulf countries will be around Rs 15,000.

What is Vande Bharat Mission?

The Modi government has launched the Vande Bharat Mission to bring back Indians stranded abroad due to the Koro crisis. From May 7, i.e. 7 days from today, about one lakh 93 thousand Indians stranded in 12 countries will be brought through Air India's special flights. Rent will also be taken from the trapped people.

The Vande Bharat Mission will repatriate Indians stranded in the US, UK, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. The help of the navy can also be sought to bring in Indians from the Gulf countries. The navy had already prepared for it.
