"Time is not the end of lockdown but finding solutions": British PM Johnson

London, Ta. 11 May 2020, Monday

British Prime Minister Boris Jones has extended the lockdown in the country to June 1. He said the lockdown in the country would not end soon and the government was working on some schemes to facilitate the lockdown. "The lockdown cannot be lifted this week. Instead, we are taking precautionary measures to explore solutions," the prime minister said in a televised address.

Those who cannot work from home will be allowed to go to the office from Monday, Boris Jones said. People will be able to go out for exercise and sports related activities from Wednesday but it requires adherence to social distance. He was also allowed to sit in the sun in a local park, drive to another place and play a game with members of the household.

The British Prime Minister has a five-tier alert system that allows the government to monitor and track the spread of the virus using scientific data, dubbed the 'R' rate. "Level 1 means the disease is no longer present in Britain. Level 5 is the most serious. We were in Level 4 during the lockdown. Thank you for your abandonment. We are now in a position to step into Level 3," he said.
