The Pak government also discriminated against the people in occupied Kashmir in the lockdown

New Delhi, May 13, 2020

In Pakistani-occupied Kashmir, the Pakistani government's discrimination and atrocities against the people continue.

The rulers of Pakistan have also discriminated against the people of POK in opening lockdowns. Under pressure from religious leaders, the Imran Khan government has opened lockdowns all over Pakistan but the people here are angry that lockdowns are not being opened in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and markets are not allowed.

"The government is discriminating. Why are we being forced to close the markets?" Said traders in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. We also have families.

Pakistan has been discriminating against people in the region for years. Most of the people here do not even have the right to vote. They have to get permission to go to any other part of Pakistan.
