Nanning, Ta. May 1, 2020, Friday

The Corona epidemic, which spread from the Chinese city of Wuhan, has swept the world, and even the most powerful, the United States, has become the epicenter with the highest number of cases. At that time, the situation in China is becoming more and more normal and shops, markets, etc. are also opening there. In the midst of all this, a market for fried animals has also opened in the Chinese city of Nanning.

The famous Food Street shops in Nanning, China, sell a wide variety of fried insects, including scorpions and squash. The shops were closed for 70 days due to the outbreak of Corona virus and are now open. The market serves a variety of snacks and delicacies every night. These include grilled octopus, spicy crawfish, boiled pakoda and rice cake. However, fried insects are the most popular, ranging from spiders to silkworms to many cooked insects.

Food Street on Zhongshan Road was closed in late January as Corona's cases continued to rise, but has now reopened as cases have dropped and people have begun to flock. The street, which used to be open every evening from 6 pm to early morning the next day, used to be heavily crowded but now a maximum of 3,000 people are allowed to enter.

At present, there is a rule for shopkeepers to open stalls alternately and maintain social distance. It is also mandatory to maintain a distance of about two meters between each other. In addition, people entering the market will have to use an official app, wear a mask and go through testing to see if they have corona symptoms.

According to the Chinese, organisms are rich in protein so they are famous. The vet market in Wuhan sells meat from pythons, turtles, tortoises, mice, leopards, bats, pangolins, foxes, wild cats and crocodiles, and is believed to have spread the corona virus. The SARS virus spread from the Wuhan market in 2002, infecting 8,000 people in 26 countries.
