Special train from Telangana to Jharkhand to send laborers back, what about other states?

New Delhi, May 1, 2020, Friday

The repatriation of millions of workers stranded in India following the lockdown has now begun.

The first train carrying laborers has left Telangana for Jharkhand. Earlier, a number of states had appealed to the Center to run a train to take the pilgrims to their homes. The train left Telangana at 5 am and will reach Jharkhand at 11 pm tonight. In which about 1200 laborers will return. Considering the corona, 56 workers are allowed to sit in each coach.

However, no official announcement has been made yet for the train to run for the workers. However, the Railways said that the train was running due to the appeal of the state government. In which all kinds of rules have been followed. If any train runs further, it will run only after the approval of the state government and the railway ministry.

As many as 6.4 lakh workers from Jharkhand are stranded in other states. The Union Ministry has given permission to each state to bring back workers by bus.
