The images of laborers trapped in the lockdown and risking their lives to return home are shocking.

In doing so, the lives of the workers have also been lost. However, they are taking risks. According to an English newspaper report, a laborer in Andhra Pradesh left his two children in a yoke to go home on foot.

He took this risk even though his house in Chhattisgarh is 1300 km away from Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district.

Police on patrol were also shocked to see the scene as he was walking on the road with the children in this manner. Police informed the laborer interrogating him.

There were eight people in the family, police said. We then offered to contact the collector for help. However, the family was adamant about moving to Hyderabad. Eventually we put them in a truck with food and drink. The truck driver refused to take the money from them.
