New delhi date. May 23, 2020, Saturday

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri said on Saturday that he would try to start international flights before August. Domestic flights, which have been closed since Monday, are about to take off. "We will try to start a good number of international flights before August," Hardeep Puri said in a Facebook Q&A session.

According to the Civil Aviation Enforcement Directorate, the first phase will see domestic flights on all routes, with flights from 35 cities landing at 39 destination airports. Puri said the government has fixed fares for the next three months so that airlines do not overcharge in view of the expected congestion and high demand for tickets.

Air services in the country have been banned for more than two months due to a lockdown in the country to curb the Corona virus. Now from May 25, the government is gradually going to start domestic flights on certain routes. The central government has made the health bridge app mandatory while traveling on a domestic flight. However, children under the age of 14 are exempted. After which it will now try to start international flights before next August.
