Priyanka Gandhi's literal attack on PM Modi: "Repeating Buddha's speech is not enough, implement it too"

On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a message of compassion to the country. Hours after the PM's speech, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shared a video of migrant workers expressing their grief. By sharing this video, Priyanka made a sarcastic remark that it is not enough to just repeat the words of God, but also implement them.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Priyanka wrote, "The laborers were brought from Gujarat to UP. Money was also recovered. They were going to Agra and Bareilly. They are being brought to Lucknow and Gorakhpur and released. Today is Buddha Purnima's day. It should be our endeavor to have compassionate treatment and support for migrant workers. "

"It is not enough to just repeat the word of God. The government has to act on it and deal well with migrant workers," he added.

What the laborers said in the video

The workers, who were returning home from Ahmedabad, alleged that Rs 690 was taken instead of a train ticket. He also claimed that no other facilities were provided during the entire journey except a bottle of water, snacks and four pampers.

Prime Minister Modi's speech

In a virtual program on Buddha Purnima, the Prime Minister said that India today is following in the footsteps of the Buddha and helping everyone at home and abroad without worrying about profit and loss. At the same time, he suggested that it is necessary to have compassionate service for others by working at a constant service price.
