Pakistan: 3 crore foreign currency notes found in wreckage of crashed plane

In Pakistan, a plane en route from Lahore to Karachi crashed into a human settlement near Karachi airport last week.

Foreign currency notes worth Rs 3 crore have been recovered from the wreckage of the plane. An inquiry has now been ordered into the matter.

The bodies and belongings of those killed in the tragedy are currently being identified and the currency notes were found in two bags in the meantime.

The plane crash near Karachi killed 97 people, including the crew member, in one of the biggest plane crashes in Pakistan's history. So far, 47 bodies have been identified.
