Lockdown 4.0: Lockdown to be extended after May 17! Preparation of exemptions in these areas, know ... what the states want

New delhi date. Saturday 16 May 2020

The third phase of the nationwide lockdown, which aims to slow down Corona's spread, ends on May 17. This is a clear indication that the lockdown will continue even after this.

Addressing the nation on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the lockdown would not end completely. However he also hinted at more concessions in the fourth phase.

According to officials, a decision may be taken to fully open the green zone in the fourth phase, which is set to begin on Monday, May 18. It is hoped that the states will get the right to decide the hotspot at this stage. However, rules such as adhering to social distances and wearing a mask will be mandatory for all.

Officials say there will be far fewer restrictions in the Orange Zone in the next phase. Even in the red zone, strict compliance will be maintained in the convent area. Salons, hair cutting shops and spectacle shops may also be allowed to open in the Red Zone. However, the Home Ministry will continue to issue detailed guidelines in this regard on the instructions of the state governments. State governments were asked to submit their suggestions by Friday.
