Clashes between the army and militants have been going on since late Monday night in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Based on the input, the army surrounded two terrorists in the Navkadal area. At the same time, mobile internet service has been shut down across Srinagar. The voice call facility of private companies has also been shut down.

The army had input that terrorists were hiding in the Kanemzar area of ​​Navkadal. After which the army conducted a search operation. Meanwhile, the terrorists started firing. Firing continued all night from both sides. However, the firing has stopped in the morning and a search operation is being conducted.

Mobile internet service has been shut down across Srinagar just hours after the encounter began. At the same time, except BSNL, the rest of the voice calling facility has been shut down. However, the army took these steps for security reasons. So that terrorists cannot take advantage of internet or calling facility.


Earlier on Monday, the army conducted an intensive search operation in the villages of Pulwama district. Battalions of 55 National Rifles, 53 RRs, 23 Paras, Special Operations Group and CRPF 182 and 183 inspected every house in seven villages of Pulwama. Which included several villages including Rahmu, Gusu, Murran.

However, the military did not say whether the search operation was launched after the input of a terrorist or under routine procedure. The village around the army search operation was shaken.
