Is India's lockdown tighter than other countries in the world?

London, May 11, 2020, Monday

Based on 17 criteria, the lockdown of various countries has been studied in which the lockdown of India has been found to be the strictest and is considered to be better than that of the developed countries. India had implemented a strict lockdown from the very beginning of Koro. The Covid-19 Government Response Tracker was created by Oxford University to study lockdown. A team of 100 people worked with this tracker which fed the government trend information in the tracker based on 17 different signals.

These signals were divided into three parts. The first part included the closure of schools, offices, and public events, a ban on transportation, and a stay at home. The second part was related to economic policies which included minimum economic aid and aid to other countries. The third part included investments by the government in medical facilities such as testing emergency facilities.

In this study, the countries with lockdown have been given marks out of 100. The list includes India, Russia, South Africa, Pakistan and Bolivia among the countries with the highest scores. The study also looked at issues such as the implementation of guidelines issued by the World Health Organization.

However, the main purpose of this study was to look at the number of deaths from coronary heart disease due to lockdown. The death toll was parallel in many countries despite the lockdown, while in some countries such as Spain, France and China the death toll declined with strict adherence to the lockdown. However, the United States, Britain and India have not yet seen the desired effect. Despite the implementation of the lockdown, cases of transition and death are on the rise. Strict enforcement of the lockdown has brought the situation under control, which includes France, Italy, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Mexico, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, Turkey, Israel, China, India and Switzerland.
