Iran's OPEC Governor Hussein Kazepour Ardebili goes into a coma after brain haemorrhage

Tehran, Ta. 4 May 2020, Monday

Hussein Kazepour, the governor of Iran's OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries), was in a coma on Sunday after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage. The news was released on the website of the Iranian Ministry of Oil. Kazampour has been admitted to a hospital in Tehran. He was first appointed Governor of Iran in OPEC in 1985. He has also served as the ambassador of the Islamic Republic to Japan.

Kajampour's well-known counterparts consider him a moderate narrator, and this is why Iran has been able to stand its ground to the fullest extent. Ardebili is so popular that when he arrived at a meeting in 2018, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Jangneh himself stood up. Ardebili is known as an important advisor to Jangneh.

Ardebili played a key role in rehabilitating Iran's oil industry and strengthening its position in OPEC after the 2015 nuclear deal. He made major improvements in the country's crude oil production, even in the short-term relief from sanctions. He also maintained good relations with his Saudi counterparts and maintained relations with his counterparts even when relations between the two regional powers were not natural.

Corona virus is not responsible for Ardebili's hospitalization, according to a report. He suffers from a heart problem and was absent from a special OPEC meeting on March 5. Traveling at the time increased the health risk due to the corona virus.
