Indians stranded abroad will be repatriated from May 7, the master plan of the campaign is ready

The repatriation of Indian nationals stranded abroad during the Corona virus lockdown will begin in phases from May 7, with the help of the Indian Navy, and a standard protocol for repatriation, according to sources.

According to sources, repatriation of these people to India will be arranged by air and navy, the Indian Embassy and High Commission will prepare a list of Indians stranded abroad, Indians wishing to return home will have to bear the cost.

The government has said that commercial flights will be arranged for these people, adding that a large number of Indian nationals have been stranded abroad during the Corona virus lockdown.

Trapped in the Gulf countries first and then in Britain, America and other countries will be brought to India. The second phase of the airlift campaign is expected to launch on May 25.

According to the Home Ministry, medical screening of the passengers will be done before the flight, as Indians who show symptoms of cough, fever and cold will not be allowed to travel.

After arriving in India, these people will be quarantined in hospitals or other places for 14 days. During the journey, travelers will have to follow the health protocol issued by the Ministry of Health and Civil Aviation.

Detailed information will be provided through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Civil Aviation's own website, the Home Ministry said, adding that the concerned states are being advised to arrange hospitals and diagnostic centers for citizens coming to the states in advance.
