The government on Friday issued a revised consultation recommending asymptomatic use of asymptomatic drugs to paralyzed healthcare workers working in non-Covid-19 hospitals, paramilitary forces deployed in the contingency zone and coronavirus prevention activities.

According to an earlier consultation, it is also recommended to use the drug against infection in all health care workers and those who come in contact with the home of an infected person, even without the symptoms involved in preventing and treating Kovid-19.

Apart from this the hospital does not admit coronavirus patients. The health workers working there will also have to take this medicine. Preliminary studies from several organizations, including ICMR, the Ministry of Health, AIIMS and the National Institute of Virology, have found that intake of hydroxychloroquine has reduced the risk of coronary heart disease.
