How long will the Corona plague last in the world, says the top expert on epidemics?

Top epidemiologists have estimated that the corona virus will continue to spread until it infects two-thirds of the population on Earth.

Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Diseases Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota in the United States, said this in a conversation with the media.

"We all have to deal with the fact that there is no magic bullet or vaccine that can drive away the corona," the epidemiologist said. We have to live with this but we are not discussing this.

Michael Osterholm said the vaccine is probably a year away. Without the vaccine, the virus will continue to spread until there is immunodeficiency. He estimates that 60 to 70 percent of the population needs to be infected for herd immunity.

Heard immunity is a condition in which so many people in a community become infected that the chain of virus transmission is broken. Epidemiology experts say the decision will continue until the virus infects as many people as it can. The pace of transition before that will not slow down.

However, it is not yet scientifically known how long people will not get sick with a second corona once infected. However, people become immune for many years after being infected with the SARS and MERS virus.

Epidemiologist Michael Oyster Holm says that if cases of corona begin to decline during the summer, it will mean that it will return as a seasonal illness.

The epidemiological expert said that so far the corona has caused a lot of grief, death and economic loss but only 5 to 20 per cent of the population is currently infected. 60 to 70 percent of people still have a long way to go before they become infected.
