Darbhanga, 24, May, 2020, Sunday

A woman traveling from Gurugram, Haryana, riding her injured father on a bicycle has proved that her daughter Lakshmi, who is considered to be the key to the house, is not inferior to her sons. Jyoti, who crossed such a long distance in lockdown, is only 15 years old. She covered a distance of 1200 km in 8 days. I had to endure everything from bicycle damage to punctures on the road to hunger and thirst. Jyoti's father was driving a rickshaw in Gurugram. The mother and daughter came to Gurugram from Darbhanga in January to take care of their father, who was living alone after the accident. Other members of the family fled but Jyoti was stopped for treatment of the injured father.

Everything went smoothly, but the lockdown was announced following the transmission of the corona virus, which also brought business to a standstill. Father was not in a position to drive a rickshaw. Train and road traffic was halted following the lockdown. Eventually he had to decide to cycle to his hometown near Darbhanga. Drinking water and food were available on the road from morning till evening. At night, wherever there was a petrol pump, she would stop with her father. Luckily there was no mishap during the 1200 km long journey. He has proved that nothing is impossible without strong will and strong will.

Along the way he is also getting financial help. This venture of Jyoti has been applauded by BSF personnel and many voluntary organizations. According to the information received, the Cycling Federation of India has offered Jyoti to make a career in cycling. Necessity is the mother of research. Jyoti is the second child of three sisters and two brothers. She leaves her studies and helps her mother at home if she gets the chance. The story caught the attention of Ivanka, the daughter of US President Donald Trump and an adviser to the White House, in the Indian media. Ivanka tweeted praising the courage of 15-year-old Jyotikumari to take her father on a 1,200 km cycle trip in 8 days.
