A nationwide lockdown was announced due to the Corona virus epidemic, and international and domestic flights were canceled to prevent the virus from spreading. However, domestic flights will now be launched across the country from Monday the 9th. Announcing this, Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that all airlines should be ready for domestic flights, which will be launched from Monday. As a result, it will be easier to travel domestically in India again.

Earlier, Hardeep Singh had said that the responsibility of starting flights lies not only with the Center but also with the states. So the states should also be ready for this. All the airports have also been informed about this. There are 200 domestic flights every day across the country. Now that domestic flights are starting from May 8, passengers will also have to abide by rules like social distance and mask mandatory. A special guideline will also be issued for this, which will be followed by the airlines as well as the passengers.

However, the current restrictions on international flights will remain in place, no clarification has been given by the government on when foreign flights will be launched and only domestic flights to India will be launched from the 7th. At present, special arrangements have been made for seating at certain distances in the 12 special trains that have been started. Similar arrangements will be made for flights, keeping a certain distance between passengers. The lockdown has hit airlines as much as any other industry, with restrictions on the entry of foreigners first, followed by the cancellation of international and domestic flights.
