(PTI) Dehradun, May 2, 2020, Saturday
Pilgrims from Uttarakhand will be able to pay obeisance at Kedarnath and other temples in the lap of the Himalayas from May 7.
Especially in the districts included in the green zone of the state, people are being allowed inter-district travel with some restrictions from May 8. Then the devotees of the state will be able to see Kedarnath Baba.
State Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has urged the people to maintain social distance while visiting temples as the safety of visitors is paramount.
The gates of Kedarnath Baba's temple have been opened on April 4 in the absence of devotees.
Rawat said that after the situation calms down, devotees from outside the state will also be able to visit Kedarnath Baba.
Rawat expressed confidence that Korona would finally be defeated, adding that the divine luster would be spread back to the temples.
Not a single case of corona has been reported in all the three districts of the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand, where the four temples in the Himalayas, known as Chardham, are located. And for that they have been included in the green zone.
Kedarnath is always is in my wish list. I always wants to go there.
