Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Lockdown-2 amid the Corona epidemic. In his address on behalf of the country, Modi said that preparations have to be made for Lockdown-2 as well, though the number of days to be extended now will be quite different from the previous Lockdown. After Modi's announcement, it is clear that the countrymen will not be completely relieved from the lockdown on the next 16th and it will be extended though full details will be given before the 15th, Modi said. It also announced various relief packages worth Rs 20 lakh crore to address the economic crisis, details of which will be given by Finance Minister Nirnala Sitharaman on Wednesday.

Announcing an economic package for the Self-Reliant India Campaign, Prime Minister Modi said that if the economic announcements made by the government in connection with the Koro crisis were combined with those announced today, the amount would reach Rs 20 lakh crore. The Rs 50 lakh crore package will help take self-reliant India to new heights by 2020. Land, Labor, Liquidity are the focus of this package. This 20 lakh crore has been allocated for every sector of the country such as workers, farmers, middle class, industry. Detailed information will be given by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in phases on Wednesday. Modi had hinted that the middle class could be exempted from taxes. At the same time, the package will help bring agriculture, industries and small businesses on track, Modi said.

Modi said that the crisis is so great that even the biggest systems have been shaken but in this situation the poor brothers and sisters of our country especially the hawkers, laborers, farmers etc. have made great sacrifices and now we have to help them become strong. Each of the areas will be covered in this relief package. At times we have been taught that the local has helped us in this crisis, we have to make the local a life mantra. From today, every Indian has to work for his local. The locals have met our demands. The country is going to be a vocal for the locals. Modi also announced that there will be a fourth phase of lockdown, lockdown 2 will be announced before the 15th. Although Modi did not specify what kind of lockdown it would be, he has announced that the lockdown will continue. This fourth lockdown will be different than the one that has taken place so far and states may be given more leeway to make decisions.

And this is becoming possible with the self-reliance of 150 crore people of India. Modi recalled the Kutch earthquake and said that he had witnessed the earthquake and its aftermath. Although Kutch emerged in a jiffy, this is our strength. No path is impossible if we are determined. The time has come for India to become self-sufficient and it stands on five pillars. The first pillar is economy, the second pillar is infrastructure, the third pillar is our system, the fourth pillar is our demography while the fifth pillar is our mind. Using these five pillars we have to build a self-reliant India.
