The sudden change when the lockdown was imposed in the country due to the corona virus gave Mother Nature a chance to open up and breathe. Himalayan mountain ranges were seen from the plains of Punjab. The sky was clear again in New Delhi as the fog subsided.

The clean environment in the depressing atmosphere of the shutdowns was the only reason that could bring joy but in the same way that the festival is only for a short time, the epidemic is also posing a threat to the ecology itself.

A report by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) estimates how much of the waste of masks and gloves will be found in the ocean. The WWF report states that if even 1% of the masks were incorrectly disposed of and thrown into natural resources, the result would be one million masks in the environment each month.

The WWF warns, for example, that Italy will need 1 billion masks and 500 million gloves for the month of May immediately after lifting its lockdown.
