Conditions of Odisha and Bengal before Emphan hurricane with heavy rains and winds

Cyclone Amphan will affect the coastal states of India today. The meteorological department predicts that the hurricane will quickly reach parts of Odisha and Bengal. Seeing this, the agencies have made pre-preparations. There have also been strong winds and rains in Bengal and Odisha.



Trees were also seen falling on the coasts of Odisha due to strong winds. Apart from that, high waves are rising on the sea shore. The people of the coastal areas have been constantly instructed by the local authorities.

Shelter homes have been set up in Odisha in view of the condition of Amphan. So far, more than 1700 shelter camps have been set up in the states. Of which more than 1 lakh people have been kept. "People from coastal areas and villages have been evacuated for the last two-three days," he said. According to reports, the wind is currently blowing at a speed of 80 to 90 kmph in Odisha.
