Booking of trains starting from 1st June starts from today

- AC trains will also run along with non-AC, the station will not get tickets

New delhi date. 20 May 2020, Wednesday

Train transactions in the country are now being started at a slower pace amid the lockdown. About 500 trains will run across the country from June 1. Booking of these trains will start from 10 am on the 21st. Although this booking is not made at the station, passengers will have to make an online booking.

Railways had earlier said that only 200 non-AC trains would be launched from the first date. However, the Railways on Wednesday clarified that not only non-AC but also AC trains will be run. These will be trains that will run entirely on reservation. So no one will be given a ticket at the station, online reservation will have to be made.

Passengers will also have to find their seat online and take their place. Online reservation makes it easier to maintain the rule of social distance as passengers have to sit in the same seat as decided by the railways. Although fares for trains that are about to start will be normal, no additional fares will be charged. Bookings will have to be made from May 31 at 10 am. Bookings can also be made from Railways' mobile application IRCTC Rail Connect and IRCTCDotCodotin.
