America preparing to conduct one more nuclear test after 28 years

Washington, Saturday, May 23, 2020

The US government is considering conducting a nuclear test. America is a superpower country and does not usually need to demonstrate its capabilities by conducting nuclear tests. At present, North Korea is the only country in the world that informs the world by conducting nuclear tests. A total of nine countries in the world have nuclear weapons, but most countries no longer carry out unnecessary detonations. But top officials in the Trump administration are considering conducting nuclear tests to show China and Russia their capabilities. A report on this was published in the American newspaper The Washington Post.

The United States last conducted a nuclear test on September 12. The US-Russia Cold War lasted from 18 to 191. That is why both the countries were conducting nuclear tests to prove themselves superior. But after the partition of Russia in 191, there was no threat to the United States. So nuclear tests were also stopped. China is now a major threat to America and the world. With that in mind, U.S. government security officials are considering the proposal.

A meeting was held on May 18 in this regard. However no final decision has been made. There were differences of opinion among the experts at the meeting. Many experts called the move foolish. It is also decided that once the United States conducts a nuclear test, it will have dark repercussions from all over the world and other countries will also test it. If that happens, the race for nuclear weapons could once again begin in the world. The United States currently has more than 7,000 nuclear weapons.

Only once in the history of the earth has the atomic bomb been used as a weapon, which the United States used against Japan in the 19th century. The United States dropped atomic bombs on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, during World War II. No country has ever carried out a nuclear attack in a subsequent war. But countries with nuclear weapons have so far conducted more than 5,000 tests to demonstrate their capabilities, of which more than 1,000 are from the United States alone.

Russia-China secretly testing?

A nuclear test causes an explosion and a mushroom-shaped cloud in the sky. In addition to this well-known scientific fact, there is also the fact that if a very low-capacity bomb is tested, it does not explode. The cloud does not form and other countries do not even get the information. The United States suspects that Russia and China are testing nuclear weapons with negligible capabilities. Tests called 'subcritical' in the language of science do both, in which the case does not reach the point of detonation but the capacity of the bomb is measured.

Operation Julian: America's last test

The United States conducted its last nuclear tests under Operation Julian 121-9. A total of seven nuclear tests were carried out at that time. The last test took place on September 9, 2013. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a U.S. military base in the northern state of Nevada. The bomb had a capacity of 20 kilotons. Russia conducted the last test in October 190, while China conducted the last test on July 19.
