After the end of the lockdown, China's tourist destinations opened, with more than 1 million people visiting in two days

The Corona epidemic that spread from the Chinese city of Wuhan has put the whole world in trouble and almost all countries are trapped in lockdown. The global death toll from corona is increasing day by day and its transmission is spreading very fast. The situation in China, where the virus began to spread five months ago, is now returning to normal. With the lifting of the lockdown in China, factories and transportation have also opened.

Rapid increase in tourism

The tourism sector in China is also growing very fast. According to a report, about 1 million people arrived in Shanghai in the first two days of May. The Chinese government had ordered the opening of some tourist destinations on the occasion of May Day so that 4,56,000 people arrived on May 1 and 633,000 on May 2.

More than 5 million people traveled to China in the first two days of the five-day holiday and about 9 million people are expected to complete the journey by the end of the holiday on Tuesday. According to a report by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, domestic tourism revenue exceeded 9.7 billion yuan (about 3 1.38 billion), with 2.3 million domestic tourism trips by Friday, the first day of the holiday.

Following the rise in domestic tourism, China ranked its epidemic emergency response as the most serious in the second or lower category. A total of 8,498 A-level tourist attractions across the country were opened to the public on Friday, covering a total of 70 per cent.
