In view of the threat posed by the Corona virus, 2446 members of the Tablighi Jamaat, who have been quarantined in different centers in Delhi, will now be given leave.
However, the Delhi government has also decided to make arrangements for the members of the party to go straight to their homes after being given leave.
All of them were quarantined as part of the vigil after a number of tribesmen tested positive at a function held at the Center in Delhi. Now it has been decided to give them leave and the Delhi government will also arrange for their deportation.
On the other hand, the 576 foreigners involved will now be handed over to the Delhi Police. They will also have to face prosecution for visa violations.
