The World Bank has approved a $ 1 billion fund for India to tackle Corona

The World Bank has approved a billion dollar emergency fund for India to fight the Corona virus. The World Bank said in a statement that a $ 1.8 billion first aid package will also be issued to assist five countries.

The World Bank will provide screening, tracing, laboratory diagnostics, safety equipment from a billion dollar fund in India. The decision was taken after a meeting of the World Bank's board of executive directors.

In other South Asian countries, the World Bank has approved $ 1 million for Pakistan, $ 200 million for Afghanistan, $ 1 million for the Maldives and $ 8 million for Sri Lanka.

The World Bank will spend $ 3 billion over the next six months to tackle the Corona epidemic.

The World Bank is also appealing to developed countries in the world to help developing countries around the world cope with this epidemic.

The World Bank will fund $ 100 million for Afghanistan. The funds will be used to prevent the spread of corona virus.
