Survey reveals shocking revelations, people stocking food grains

A nationwide lockdown has been announced due to the Corona virus. Shocking figures have come out against the fact that the shops were empty. A survey found that 31.4 percent of Indians had stocked grain, groceries and drugs before the lockdown.

The Prime Minister declared a lockdown on March 25 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and the announcement shocked the general public, but some even started hoarding the necessities of life.

A survey conducted by the IANS Sea Water Gallup International Association Corona Tracker revealed that during the past week, Indians were asked a question about whether they had grocery and medicine for several days.

The survey found that 68.7 percent of people have at least 3 weeks worth of groceries in their home. While 31.4 per cent people have consumed more than three weeks' worth of food.

According to the survey, 12.2 per cent of Indians have the same things they need in a week or less. While 37.3 and 19.2 percent have sufficient supplies for one and two weeks, respectively. The percentage of people who have collected goods for a long time is 6.2 to 15.6. Only 9.6% of Indians have a month's worth of groceries.
