Food and travel industry is expected to suffer a loss of Rs.

If the lockdown goes on long, 50 percent of restaurants in the country are likely to close. According to one estimate, the business of food delivery companies declined by 90%. The National Restaurant Association of India estimates that this industry could suffer a great deal. The association has appealed that homeowners and mall owners not ask renters to rent the restaurant until June.

According to the association, 90 percent of the restaurants run in leased space. These restaurants account for 15 to 30 percent of the revenue used to pay rent. While maintaining a maintenance charge of 5 to 6 percent. If the lockdown goes on for long, restaurants will have to pay rent.
