Healthy people aged 22 to 39 are allowed to go to work, such suggestions by FICCI

New Delhi, Apr 10 Apr 2020, Friday

While the central government is mulling over extending lockdown on April 14 across the country, industrial firm Fikki has suggested the government to partially reopen the lockdown and keep the economy afloat.

Ficci appealed to the government to open the lockdown gradually, saying that even if the IT sector and schools were closed, workers should be encouraged to come to work from April 15. The lockdown should be removed in the district where there are no coronary patients. Retail shops may be allowed to open temporarily. Online companies and domestic airlines should also be partially started.

Fikikinu said that public transport should be resumed with some rules and the railways should be given partial permission to start the train service. Lockdown in the country hotels should be kept unchanged. It is important to allow the movement of goods in the country. The army must be approved for the supply of much needed goods.

Initially healthy people aged 22 to 39 should be allowed to go to work.
