Giving a sample of Corona will not break the fast, Darul Uloom clarified

Corona is being fought across the country and thousands of people are being sampled daily as part of it.

As the month of Ramadan is currently underway, Darul Uloom Deoband has said in his fatwa that even if one has fasted, giving a sample will not break the fast.

Darul Uloom was questioned on the matter. This is because samples are taken from the throat for corona testing.

On this question, the Muftis of Darul Uloom say that the test for corona virus can also be given on a daily basis. Also this stick is placed only once. Thus it does not make any difference on fasting.
