China erupts over India's cancellation of rapid testing kit order

China has lashed out at India after India canceled an order for a low-quality rapid antibody test kit.

Instead of apologizing for the poor quality of the rapid test kit, China has instead questioned the Indian Council of Medical Research's statement on the quality of the test kit, saying that some people are calling the Chinese kit defective due to their biased attitude.

The Chinese embassy in India said in a statement that product quality is a priority in China. It is unfair to call a rapid testing kit defective. We hope that India will respect China's sensitivities and address this issue properly.

India had earlier said that the performance of the testing kit was not good and India had canceled the order for the kit. No payment has been made from India.

Notably, other countries have also questioned China's defective kit.
