5,000 people drank alcohol to escape the corona, the Iranian government confessed

A few days ago, there were reports that people in Iran drank alcohol following a rumor to avoid Corona. In which hundreds of people were killed.

Now the Iranian government has admitted this. The government said 5,000 people drank alcohol used for industry after being misled by rumors circulating on social media, which killed 728 people. Hundreds of people have also lost their eyesight. Including a number of children

According to the Iranian Ministry of Health, people started searching for alcohol after the rumor. Some parents even gave this to their children. This type of alcohol is called methanol. Its color and smell are similar to alcohol. It damages the human brain.

There are currently 91,000 cases of coronavirus in Iran and 5,800 deaths. The government claims that the corona virus is currently under control.
