Womens day 2020: Google Doodle salutes women power, learn special things

Women's Day began with the suffrage of women as there were many countries where women did not have the right to vote.

The day was first celebrated in the United States on February 28, 1909. The day was approved on the last Sunday in February, but in 1990, at Copenhagen's convention of Socialist International, Women's Day was given the International Standard.

On March 8 Women's Day 1917, Russian women protested because their Julian calendar was recognized there and the Gregorian calendar around the world. Accordingly, the last Sunday is March 8, since February was 28 days, so on the fourth Sunday in March it was considered to be valid throughout the world and since then March 8 has been declared a Women's Day which Russia also had to recognize.
