Will there be 13 lakh corona virus cases reported in India by May?

An international team of scientists expressed skepticism in a report that by the second week of May, 13 million positive cases of corona virus could be detected in India. Researchers affiliated with the study group of Covid India-19, which studies corona in India, expressed this suspicion after several studies. It did well in Italy and the US balance in preventing coronary cases in India in the early days, but this estimate is based on statistics from the early stage of corona virus in India.

Most importantly, the number of people who are actually infected in India is not known because the testing in India is relatively low. The lack of comprehensive testing makes it difficult to estimate the horrors of community transmission that can only be confirmed by tests confirming how many people are infected with this virus, except those who have been admitted to hospitals and healthcare. Researchers believe that the Covid-19 spread slowly after the initial pattern was seen in countries like the US and Italy.

Statistics for the transmission of the Corona virus in Europe and America are sufficient to understand the severity of the condition. The research report, released on March 25, was based on data from corona cases registered in India till March 16. Scientists from Delhi School of Economics and Michigan University US were involved in the study. However, as the study is around March 16 and thereafter, important historical steps are taken to prevent the transit of Corona to a 21-day lock-down, with the service of railway and transit services stopped.

People are following the rules of keeping social distance. According to the Indian Society of Critical Care, there are 1 lakh intensive care units and 40,000 ventilators in India. India does not have enough infrastructure and staff to handle critical patients, so keeping people disciplined and breaking the corona virus chain is the only viable solution.
