Unnao victim's father killed 10 years in prison, including Sanger

Delhi's Tees Hazari court has sentenced seven convicts, including former Uttar Pradesh MLA Kuldeep Singh Sanger, to death for the indiscriminate killing of his father in the Unnao misdemeanor case.

Delhi's Tis Hazari court sentenced seven accused, including former MLA Kuldeep, to 10 years imprisonment for the murder of the victim's father in the Unnao misdemeanor case and fined Kuldeep and his brother Rs 10 lakh.

According to the court order, Kuldeep and his brother Atul Singh Sanger will have to pay Rs 10 lakh each for the victim's family without any conditions. Earlier, during the sentencing, the CBI and the aggrieved party demanded maximum punishment for the culprits.

There is a provision of life imprisonment under the maximum sentence and the court has sentenced the accused to only 10 years. The court has earlier sentenced Kuldeep Singh to life imprisonment till his natural death.

According to the details of the case, Sanger, with the help of police personnel, beat the victim's father in a false case of illegal possession of a weapon and was later put into custody instead of being hospitalized.
