People with more than two children in Uttar Pradesh cannot contest panchayat and local elections!

New delhi date. March 6, 2020, Friday

If there are more than two children in Uttar Pradesh, there may be a ban on contesting panchayat and local self-government. Government jobs may also be lost. Giving the benefits of government schemes will give priority to the same couple, who have two wealthy children. Such clues are being obtained from the proposed population policy of the Yogi government.

The Yogi government's proposed population policy is under consideration for linking government jobs. This policy can apply from hiring to promotion. The Yogi government is likely to formulate a new population policy just before the panchayat elections this year and then the elections to the traditional Swaraj.

The first implementation of the proposed policy may be in the panchayat elections. The government aims to bring the gross fertility rate to 2.1 by 2025. So far the urban fertility rate in urban population is 2.1. However, this rate is due to the awareness of the urban people.

But this rate has reached 3 in the rural population. The government's focus will be more on rural population. According to some reports, presently the population of Uttar Pradesh is more than 22 million. The population of the region is increasing by 20% every 10 years.

Director General of Family Welfare. Badri Vishal said that the government is currently studying the population policy of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In the proposed population policy, the government will not emphasize sterilization operations. But couples with two children will work in the direction of encouragement.

He said that consideration was also being put on applying the population policy to all services under the government. In the recent legislative session, the Minister of Medical Health, Family Welfare, Jai Pratap Singh, like other states, asked for a policy of population.

He discussed the programs being run on population control. He said that some states were combining panchayat elections and government jobs with population control measures. Uttar Pradesh's gross fertility rate is 2.7 as per 2015-16, which is to bring it down to 2.1.
